A focused pitch

Tell us the working title, the central idea, who would find it useful and what makes the subject worth covering. Include a short outline of the approach and note any relevant experience or possible conflicts of interest. Keep the pitch specific enough that we can see how it differs from familiar style advice.

Accuracy and originality

We value fresh, independently written work with careful distinctions between fact, opinion and personal experience. Avoid unsupported product claims, copied material and advice that assumes every reader has the same body, budget, workplace or wardrobe. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.
